Who is eligible to participate?

You can refer a friend if your game account is current and in good standing, your account is at least six weeks old, and you have paid for at least six weeks of game time. (Time included with a box or a full download version of the game applies, and paid time from any of our supported payment methods is valid.)
What do I get, and what does each friend get?

When your friend buys Aion (applies a digital or retail box serial code to his or her account), you get three Major Ancient Crowns.

1. Log in to your NCsoft® Master Account.
2. Select your Aion game account from the accounts listed under Game Accounts.
3. In the Actions section, click the Refer a Friend link.
4. Fill out the requested information.
5. Click the Refer a Friend button.
6. Once we have sent your friend the email, you'll receive an on-screen confirmation.
7. Periodically, return to your Refer a Friend page to check the status of your outstanding invitations.

Aion Online with over 1 million units sold.

But with a game this popular you are also sure to see a large amount of bots. NCsoft is craking down and has banned 16,000 accounts. This should improve the gameplay for others at least for awhile.

Accounts were banned for use of third party software also known as botting, buying or selling gold, spamming, sharing of accounts, purchasing or selling accounts, power leveling, and any other violations of the terms of service.

Aion Online Download

The highly anticipated MMO game called Aion was officially launched by NCsoft last September 22, 2009. With a preorder sales of almost 400,000, Aion Massively Multiplayer Online game amazingly outpaced all major MMO games that was also launched this year.

Explore the World of Aion now! Assuming that you’ve already installed Aion in your computer, the first thing that you have to do is create an Aion acount through their website. After you have succesfully created an account, you can now run the Aion client and login using your username and password. Server selection screen will load up and you just have to click and highlight which Aion server you would like to play. You must remember that once you’ve created an account on a specific server, you can no longer transfer your account to a different server so if you and your friends would like to play together, you must create an Aion account on the same server.

For first time users, make a new character by selecting a Race. There are two Aion Races recently available – Elyos and Asmodians.

After choosing a Race, you can now proceed which Aion class would you like to be – Warrior, Scout, Mage and Priest. Just click on each character and a brief description and skills will show up or visit the Aion classes page for a detailed information about different Aion classes. Also, choose the sex type of your character. Click on next to continue and your own your way to customizing your character’s appearance.

There are many preset faces to choose from and each part of the face is also customizable like ears, face, brow and lips. You can also choose hair color and hair types, tattoos and decorations. Body type is also customizable so you can make your character sexy and gorgeous looking if it’s a female or make a boy next door looking guy. :P

Lastly, you can select to 4 different voices. To hear each preset voice just hit listen button.

When you are already satisfied on how your character looks like, just hit the Create button and this will lead you back to the Character Selection Screen.

To start playing Aion Online just select your character on the screen and click the Start button.

 Aion Flying Pets

NCsoft has confirmed that players of Spiritmaster class in the MMO Aion will be able to have their summoned pets accompany them and fight beside them as they fly.

Flight is a major part of Aion, and Spiritmaster's pets are important to the class, which is why fans were excited about a rumour that NCsoft was planning to implement flight for pets, enabling them to fight alongside their owners – a huge bonus in the Abyss. Aion - Tower of EternityIt turns out that the feature has already been introduced to the Korean version of Aion, and we'll get it here soon in the west too, just not this month:

“The development team in Korea has implemented the flying pet enhancement, and it’s working to bring the update to the NA and EU servers soon. We don’t have an estimate at this time as to when this update will be implemented in the West. However, we will be releasing more information in the coming weeks.”

Aion Double XP Weekends

NCsoft is still trying it's best to manage it's MMO Aion, which has done pretty well for an MMO these days. In response of players feedback that the experience curve can be steep in certain levels of Aion, NCsoft plans double experience weekends that over the next three weekends, players from levels 1-35 can get the reward of double experience gain. This includes crafting and gathering experience as well. And they also adding a few permanent benefits with the upcoming patch. Soul Healing will be less expensive for characters of all levels.

Many folks aren't up for the grind that comes with Aion and it looks like NCsoft is trying to appeal to them a bit more as they announced today that they will be offering double experience for the next three weekends and also lowering the cost of the soul healer.

Aion Gameplay

The character creation system allows customization such as adjusting the height, weight and scale of various body parts. Different hair styles, skin colors, facial textures and voices can also be chosen. Further detailing can be found in the selection of eye shape and color, nose shape, ear size and shape and tattoos for the character's face and body.

The game will allow a player to dye their equipment to change its color and to change the graphics of one weapon or armor to that of another that they have in their inventory. This allows a player to display equipment graphics of items which they find visually appealing, while benefiting from the actual stats of different weapons or armors. Players can only change the graphics of a piece of equipment to that of another piece of equipment of the same type.

This adds another layer of customization (as it allow players to control the look of their avatar without sacrificing the better stats of an item that they find visually unappealing) and strategy to the game.

Many of the skills acquired as characters progress may only be performed in a certain order, or chain. Generally the skills located farther along in the chain are more powerful then those at the beginning, or those that have no prerequisite.

The end game of Aion revolves around battles within the Abyss (PvP zone). Within the Abyss are fortresses which can be controlled by individual Legions (Aion equivalent of a guild). Battle for control of these castles involves combat against players of the opposing faction and computer controlled NPCs at the same time, using siege weapons obtained from end game PvE raid content. Legions in control of a castle are entitled to funding from taxes and players within the faction get specials from NPCs and discounts for travel and vendor items. The game currently does not allow factions to fight against those of their own race, except for casual duels or practice in the Arena.

The participation in PvP is rewarded with Abyss Points in the game. The game ranks players as battles are won against fellow players based on their participation in the Abyss. At higher ranks the character's wings will change in appearance to show the character's elevated status. Also certain items can be purchased with these points such as high-end armor and weapons. This is referred to as the Abyss Rank system, and there can only be a limited number of high ranking players per server. The highest ranking players compete for the relatively few rank positions available. Abyss points are gained by killing other players in combat, and points are lost by being killed by another player. Higher points are awarded for a kill of a much higher ranked player than for killing an equal or lower ranked player.

There are four primary classes, and eight specialized classes in the game. Players start the game by choosing one of the four primary classes: Warrior, Mage, Scout, or Priest. After attaining level 10, the player must choose from two specialized classes associated with their chosen class. Warriors may become a Templar, or a Gladiator; Mages may become a Sorcerer or Spirit Master; Scouts choose from Assassin or Ranger; and Priests from Cleric or Chanter.

Up to six players may form a group, to assist one another in battle, and share the benefits of victory. Certain areas are designed for group play and a group is required to enter some areas in the game. Up to four groups may form an Alliance for situations that call for greater force of numbers. Being a member of an Alliance restricts you the rewards received when a quest designed for single or group play is completed.

There are six crafting professions (Alchemy, Cooking, Tailoring, Handicrafting, Weaponsmithing, and Armorsmithing) and two extracting professions. Players automatically learn the two extracting professions, and may learn all of crafting professions, but only master two. Mastering a profession will provide the player with an associated title, and statistical boost for mastering the profession.

'Extract Vitality' allows your character to gather natural materials found in the world, while 'Extract Aether' draws from vortexes that can be found floating in 'flight' areas.

There are three type of quests in Aion: ordinary quests, campaign quests and Work Orders. Ordinary quests require the player to complete a task to receive a reward. Campaign quests are focused on story, and are crucial for player progression. Work Orders are used to increase skill in a chosen profession. Some quests are repeatable. Some quests, especially campaign quests, cannot be shared or abandoned.

Aion The Tower of Eternity

Aion: The Tower of Eternity is a massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) released by NCsoft, a major Korean game developer. Aion was (up until May 20, 2009) known as "Aion: The Tower of Eternity" but it was released in North America under the one-word title of Aion. The game combines PvP and PvE (a concept the developers call PvPvE) in a fantasy game environment.

In the beginning, Aion benevolently watched over his world Atreia. He created the humans, and the Balaur to safeguard and watch over them. Eventually, the Balaur became obsessed with power and subjugation. They attacked and destroyed anything that would not yield to them, and they began to set their sights on humans. Five of the Balaur rose to a height of strength above the rest, and became known as the five Dragon Lords. When Aion refused to grant them the power they desired, the power to rival his own, they revolted and declared war on the god that created them. Aion's hand was forced, and he created the twelve Empyrean Lords, beings of divinity and power to protect the Tower of Eternity, the center of the world and the source of Aion's power and all Aether in the world. The Empyrean lords formed a barrier that made the land around the tower a safe haven, and people began to populate it and recreate their civilization.

Some humans 'ascended' to become Daeva and, like the Empyrean Lords, had wings and the ability to fight the Balaur. With time, enough Daevas rose to form an army. The Empyrean Lords would lead the Daeva into battle and fight ceaselessly. Eventually Israphel, one of the Empyrean Lords and also one of the two designated Tower Guardians, suggested peace. Ariel agreed, suggesting that if Israphel could overcome his hatred for the Balaur, they all could. Five of the Empyrean Lords, led by Azphel, vehemently disagreed. They considered peace foolish and a sacrilege to the honored dead. However, the second guardian of the tower, Siel, was swayed to peace and her decision sealed the argument. The five Dragon Lords were invited inside the barrier for peace talks. Before the peace-talks could begin, someone attacked and slew one of the Dragon Lords. This was when the Balaur charged the tower and destroyed it; the resulting cataclysm broke Atreia in half. The two Guardians of the Tower, Israphel and Siel, frantically moved to opposite ends of the tower, alongside the other Empyrean Lords and Daevas. They sacrificed their life energy to ensure the ends of the world would not separate into space. Of the original twelve, ten Empyrean Lords survived. Five who had opposed peace and claimed that the weakness of the rest of the lords had allowed the Balaur to attack them reigned over the dark part of the world, becoming known as the Shedim Lords. The other five reigned over the light-covered bottom part of Atreia and claim that it was the Shedim Lords' actions that caused the breaking of the tower. They are known as the Seraphim Lords.

Those that lived in the light part of the world, the Elyos, saw little change. These followers of the Seraphim Lords created the city of Sanctum. The inhabitants of the upper part, the Asmodians, saw many changes. Having to fight against beasts, their hands became claw-like, their feet became talons. The darkness made their complexion deepen, and their eyes grew red adapting to the absence of light. They live in the city of Pandaemonium under the rule of the Shedim Lords.

Players begin the game as human inhabitants of their chosen world (Elysia or Asmodae) who have suffered significant memory loss. Through attempting to retrieve their lost past and completing other tasks along the way, they 'ascend' as winged, immortal Daevas. After this has happened, the characters travel their respective capital cities to begin their lives as holy servants of their respective people. The worlds are almost completely separate until a player enters the abyss. The story and tone of the game differ greatly between the worlds, as do the landscapes and characters one encounters; however the basic linear progression is the same.
