Aion Online Gladiator complete guide

Aion Online Gladiator complete guide

The Gladiator class is able to use most weapons in the game, but they are more geared towards using either two handed pole arms (for Area of Effect combat) or dual-wielded swords. Almost all of their skills are geared towards the use of either a pole or a sword (Dual swords do count for this), so it is highly recommended that you choose to use one of those two weapons.

Along with this, the Gladiator is able to use multiple types of armor. They have passives for Leather, Chain, and Plate. Because of this, your choice in armor will be Plate. Your goal is to build up your defense and attack as much as possible, and Plate is the best method to going about this.

The biggest thing to keep in mind when choosing to play this class is that your main priority is to be a damage dealer, rather than a tank. You will have the ability to take monsters and players, yes, but if there is a Templar as well it is best to allow them to take care of that.

Strategy
The strategy of the Gladiator is going to be a pretty solid one. There really are not any times you will deviate from your normal play style, however your play will depend on what type of weapon you are using at the time.

First of all, carrying a bow is a very positive thing. You do not have any skills that you are able to use with bows, however you can use them to pull mobs out of groups. Your damage with this bow clearly will not be as devastating as with your normal skills, but that is not your objective at this point. Instead, you will want to use your bow to pull and then swap back to your normal weapon of choice.

Because your masteries (and skills) are based on two different weapons we will go ahead and cover the scenarios of each of these. These two weapons are the pole arm and the dual-wielded swords.

The dual-wielded swords are used just like any other weapon. Your goal is to get up to melee range of your target and deal damage to them as fast as possible. This is going to be the same whether you are tanking or not, however when you are tanking you will be the first one to attack your enemy (or enemies). This play style is the most common among Gladiators because if you keep using skills you will deal a large amount of damage over a short period of time. The issue, however, is that your attacking ability (in terms of damage dealt) is highly dependent upon how many skills you are able to dish out to your opponent. Because of this, your large attack power has both strengths and weaknesses. It is very important to gauge, especially when playing alone, how much health you have and what you are able to kill. Not doing so will result in a quick return to the nearest respawn point!

The pole arm is one of the most tricky weapons in any game, and Aion is no different. The point of the pole arm is to deal damage to multiple enemies at once, using a melee weapon. Using this style of battle means you need to completely separate yourself from your normal, in which you just attack one mob at a time. This time, your goal is to run beside multiple mobs, pulling their aggression along with you as you run to an area (preferably a corner) where you can attack all of them at the same time. This style takes much practice to fully grasp the hang of it. Because of this, here is a small guide to assist you in understanding the various workings of the Area of Effect combat methods.

Step One – Your first step here is to figure out where you wish to do your slaying mobs at. This is by far the most important decision because you want the ones that either are good for your quest, have decent drops, or give good experience. Looking at those three things, you will quickly notice that they do not always coincide with one another. You could have mobs that you need for a quest but have horrible drops and experience, for example. As a general rule of thumb, it is best to find mobs that are one or two levels below you. This generally cuts down on the amount of damage that they deal to you, increases your damage to them, and thus causes you to experience much less down time. Along with this, when choosing your target area make sure you understand how the different mobs react to players. Aggressive mobs, for example, are much easier to pull along with you than passives. With passive mobs, you must manually hit them to get them to chase you, causing you to take a considerable amount of damage sometimes just while pulling! Both types are fine, just ensure you understand which one you are dealing with ahead of time.

Step Two – The second step once you have chosen your target area is to determine whether or not you need a healer. There are some times you will find that you are able to do decent pulls (I consider three mobs a decent pull when solo) without anyone else assisting you, but there are also times that those three mobs may slay your character. Determining whether or not you are going to need a healer is extremely important because it can save you much time in the long run. Do notice that adding someone else to your group does mean you will receive less experience, gold, etc. however.

Step Three – After you have done the above two steps you are ready to move on to determining how many mobs will be an efficient pull for you. Whether you have a healer or not this part will always be the same. The biggest mistake people make is starting big and slowly working their way down. Instead, you should be doing the exact opposite. Start out with small pulls, such as two mobs (if solo) or three (if grouped) and move up one mob at a time until you feel comfortable but not overwhelmed. Some players may find this to be “weak” but it is much better than wasting hours trying to figure out what went wrong or how to get better efficiency. Also note that this bottom-to-top approach should be used with each run or each day. Many times you may be doing perfect during a run and then take a break and end up wiping your party (or yourself) multiple times due to not doing as well.

Step Four – At this point you are ready to roll and AoE down some mobs! You are ready to either try out your solo play or ensure that your team is being attentive so you can do a pull. Note that if you are unsure if a party member you rely on is AFK or not, you will want to question them ahead of time. Nothing is more irritating than a healer that left to go take care of something while you sit there dying.

11 Ranger Specific Patch Notes

1 Class Description - taken from the offical PowerWiki:

A Ranger is a Daeva with exceptional archery skills. Not only can it expertly wield a bow, but also a sword and dagger for close combat. The Ranger is also a master with various traps, making it both a formidable opponent on its own and a valued member of any group. Being skilled in both long and short range attacks combined with the ability to manipulate traps makes the Ranger able to adapt easily to nearly any situation. However, arrows and trap ingredients can become costly which makes the Ranger one of the more expensive classes.

Being as faithful as any other class, the Ranger turns to the Empyrean Lords for inspiration. While an Elysean Ranger looks toward Vaizel, the Lord of the free spirit, Asmodian Rangers accept Triniel, the Lord who controls death, as their model.

2 Class Overview

2.1 Attributes and Stats
Rangers on creation have the following base attributes:
Power: 100 - affects physical damage
Health: 100 - affects hit points and recovery rate
Agility: 115 - affects evasion, parry and block rates
Accuracy: 115 - affects chance to hit and critically hit rate (the manastone that increases Accuracy does not affect this attribute, it affects the stat with the same name found under your offensive stats)
Knowledge: 90 - affects spell damage and hit rate
Will: 90 - affects mana pool and mana recovery rate

In addition there are the following statistics that can be modified by gear and manastone choices:
Attack: affects physical damage
Accuracy: used to calculate chance to hit with weapons or abilites (this is not the same as the atttribute above with the same name)
Crit Rate: used to calculate chance to score a critical hit. For every 10 critical rating, you gain roughly 1% critical strike chance. After you achieve a critical hit rating of 440, you need 20 critical rating per 1% increase (called the soft-cap). Also, your critical hits have a chance to knockback your opponent.
Attack Speed: delay between auto-attacks, also affects casting animation speed
Speed: movement speed
Magic Boost: affects magical damage
Magic Accuracy: used to calculate chance to hit with spells

Physical Defense: affects physical damage taken from melee and ranged attacks
Evasion: chance to dodge a physical attack
Block: chance to block
Parry: chance to parry
Magical Resistance: chance to resist damage or debuffs from spells
Fire/Wind/Water/Earth Resistance: affects damage taken from spells

2.2 Weapons
A Ranger can wield one-handed swords and daggers starting from level 1, dual-wield at level 5, and can learn to use bows at level 10.

2.3 Armor
A Ranger can wear cloth and leather armor, as well as all types of head armor pieces. You should prefer leather over cloth.

2.4 Role in PvE
Rangers are physical ranged damage dealers. We provide good DPS as well as several Crowd Control abilites. However currently the general assumption is that our DPS is lower than those of most other DPS classes. Due to the lack of combatlog parsing this is still up for debate and you should keep in mind that the majority of players currently complaining about Ranger damage output have only experienced low-level gameplay.

2.5 Role in PvP
Rangers excel at burst damage from range and their unique ability to decrease any healing done to an opponent makes them a vital addition to any PvP group. With our burst damage, CC abilites, stealth and snares, Rangers are also excellent at solo PvP, but rely heavily on kiting the opponent.

2.6 Range
Rangers have long-, medium-, and short-distance shots at 25m, 20m, and 15m respectively, with most abilites having a 25m range. Range is increased by a level 25 passive skill, and is increased by an additional 10% while in flight. There is no dead-zone or minimum range.

2.7 Kiting
A Ranger relies heavily on kiting in PvE as well as PvP, which means using your abilites like Entangling Shot, Spike Trap and various stuns to maintain enough range to your opponent to be able to deal damage while keeping him from reaching you. There are different ways to achieve this, but due to Aion's movement modifiers (see 7.4) strafing and back-pedaling is not recommended. Jump-shots (7.3) and being able to abuse auto-shot/auto-facing play an important role in maximizing your effectiveness.

See Kirua's Kiting Guide for details.

3 Abilites

3.1 Signature Skills
Traps: Unique to Rangers, traps grant access to an additional source of burst or DOT damage, snares and roots. They can be used effectively in PvE, but are not reliable in PvP because they can be avoided by a skilled opponent.
Self Buffs: Rangers get access to several, short-duration self buffs that increase his avoidance or damage output signifcantly while they last.
Stealth: The Scout's base hide ability grants us limited stealth capacites, while not as good as those of the Assassin.
Entangling Shot: This early available ability is your main snare and can be used while moving (its animation doesn't cause you to become immobilized like other skills).
Silence Arrow: Prevents the target from casting spells for a short period of time, making it an invaluable tool while fighting casters and especially healers.
Sleep Arrow: Puts the target to sleep for 12 seconds, effectively removing them from combat for the duration or until dispelled. Can also be used as a spell interrupt.
Awl Arrow: Unique to the Ranger class, this chain ability debuffs the target's physical defense and the healing it receives for a short time, making it invaluable in PvP.
Retreating Slash: This ability pushes the Ranger 25m backwards, out of the target's range. It can be used while equipped with a bow, but you have to be in melee range.

3.6 Transformations
There are two different kinds of transformations:
DP skill: Elyos - Asmodian
This is our 2000 DP skill and currently lasts 1 minute (buffed to 2 minutes in a future patch).
For the other transformation you need to buy a reagent that is sold by a job supplier (where you also buy seeds for your traps): Elyos - Asmodian
This is just a travel form, either as a Zaif or a Karnif depending on your faction, and since it consumes a reagent it can be expensive to use it frequently. There are two different levels per form, with level 1 increasing speed by 20% and level 2 by 30%.

4 Character Customization

4.1 Race
While some skills differ depending on your faction, the differences are mostly minor and will not make or break your gameplay.
Also keep in mind that apparently the way to aquire certain titles is different for the two factions, so a particular good title might be harder to get depending on your race.

4.2 Gear

4.3 Manastones
When it comes to manastones, socketing critical physical hit stones is widely regarded as being most effective up to around 440 critical strike (which is the soft cap, additional crit will be subject to diminishing returns). After you reach 440 crit, use attack or HP/resists (for PvP).
Rangers usually are not the first target in group fights and their survivability is good enough to enable you to socket offensively.

4.4 Godstones
Godstones can only be used on weapons and add a chance to proc an additional effect on each attack. You can find an incomplete list here: God Stones - Enhancement Items - Aion

4.5 Titles
The most beneficial titles for a Ranger are those that increase our speed or flight speed, as well as damage. Out of all currently known titles, the following are probably the most interesting ones:

Elyos
Bottled Lightning +3% Speed - from Lightningfoot Tuka - Quests - Aion
Honorary Black Cloud +5% Speed - from Jakurerk's Opportunity to Make it Big - Quests - Aion
Heroic +4 Physical Critical Hit, +1 Physical Att, +1% Atk Speed - from [Group] Confrontation with Asmodian Army General - Quests - Aion
Owner of the Dragon Sword +52 Maximum HP, +3 Flight Time, +3% Flight Speed, +6% Speed - from [Group] The True Owner of the Dragon Sword - Quests - Aion

Asmodian
Postal +4% Speed - from [Infiltration] Elim Of Elysea - Quests - Aion
Wheeler-Dealer +5% Speed - from Contract of Black Cloud Traders - Quests - Aion
Heroic +52 Maximum HP, +3 Flight Time, +3% Flight Speed, +6% Speed - from [Group] Confrontation with Elysean Army General - Quests - Aion

4.6 Professions
There is no single best profession for your character and you also need to keep in mind what professions you have access to through friends and guildmates. For both factions, Sewing provides you with the ability to craft leather armor, Handicrafting grants access to bow recipes as well as rings or necklaces. Cooking and Alchemy enable you to craft your own consumables.

5 PvE

5.1 Builds
5.2 Rotations
5.3 Consumables

5.4 Leveling
10-16: You start out with only two ranged attacks, Snipe being your main source of damage and Entangling Shot your snare. You want to open up with Snipe, Entangling Shot, then turn around and kite the mob. Use Snipe as soon as its cooldown finishes, keep Entangling Shot up as much as possible. If the mob is low on HP you can finish it off with melee. For hard (named) mobs, you can use a Spike Trap to root it, or your DP Mau Transformation for faster run and attack speed, as well as damage.
16-19: At 16 you get Arrow Strike, your first ranged chain skill. Open up with Snipe, turn around and start kiting, you can use Arrow Strike while running even if you're turned away from the mob. Again, keep Entangling Shot up all the time, finish low HP mobs off in melee.
19-25: At this point our killing speed starts to get better. You get Stunning Shot which can do a lot of damage, but the chance isn't very high. It also has lower range than your other shots, so start out with Snipe -> Arrow Strike and use Stunning Shot when the mob gets closer.
At 20 you should do your Stigma Quest so you can equip the Arrow Deluge Stigma Stone. While its range and damage is low on single targets, it fits nicely into your rotation when all other shots are on cooldown.
You could also get Sleep Arrow in case you get involved in PvP, or if you get adds.
25-28: This is where killing speed really picks up. Rupture Arrow is a chain ability to use after Stunning Shot and also has a chance to deal a lot of damage, knocking the target back as well. After you did some of the Abyss quests, you can try to find a quiet spot in the Lower Abyss and grind. Abyss mobs give increased XP and also reward AP. If you're grinding, get mana potions in addition to mana treatment so you never have to regen.
At 27 you can hit the Upper Abyss and grind on level 30 mobs for very good XP.
28-31: At 28, additional quests in Eltnen/Morheim open up that are worth doing. You can also keep grinding in the Upper Abyss. You should now have Spiral Arrow, which only has a 10% chance to become usable after Arrow Strike, but it hits for a decent amount of damage.

6 PvP

6.1 Builds
6.2 Strategies
6.3 Consumables

7 Miscellaneous frequently discussed topics

7.1 Instant Abilites
There is no global cooldown in Aion. To make up for this and to prevent spamming, most abilites that don't have a cast time (like Ranger shots) are limited by their animation, during which you are immobilized. This is not a bug, but a design decision. It can, however, be countered by abusing jumpshots.

7.2 Autoshot
Note: In the current version autoshot is bugged so it will turn itself off seemingly random after using an ability. This is supposed to be fixed in later versions.
Autoshot (aka the Attack button from your actions tab) is worth keeping on your hotbar and easily reachable for kiting purposes. While it turns itself off automatically when you are not facing your target, there is a kiting method that involves running in a forward direction away from your opponent, jumping and hitting autoshot in order to cause your character to briefly turn towards the target and fire a shot while maintaining direction away from the target.

7.3 Jumpshot
While seen as an exploit by some players, jumpshot has been declared working as intended by the developers. It is used to cancel the animation of certain skills that would otherwise leave you immobile for its duration. This is a huge boon to kiting, but requires a lot of practice.
To initiate a jumpshot, use an ability while jumping when you reached the peak of your jump or are already on the downward movement again. This can be practiced without moving, but is more effective to maintain a certain direction.

7.4 Movement Modifiers
According to the official PowerWiki, whenever you move into a direction you gain the following boni/mali:

Forward:
+10% Physical Damage
+10% Magic Damage
-20% Physical Defense
-20% Magic Damage (Note: probably typo, should be -20% Magic Defense)

Backward:
+500% to Parry
+500% to Block
-70% Physical Damage
-40% Movement Speed

Left/Right Strafe:
+300% to Evasion
-70% Physical Damage
-20% Movement Speed

However, these values are not commonly accepted, and it is unclear if they affect both melee and ranged damage, and both autoattacks and abilites. The ingame character profile does indicate the boni and mali, but not their respective values. With the limited confirmed knowledge we have about this matter, maintaining a forward movement while kiting is recommended in order to maximize damage.

A quick experiment on a level 23 Ranger over 24 autoattacks, no abilities, same mob level & type for each attempt gave:
average 78.20 damage while standing still
average 54.20 damage while running backwards
average 90.54 damage while running forwards

Of course the sample size is too low, but it should give a rough idea of the damage increase forward movement while kiting provides.

7.5 Melee
While Ranger continue to gain melee abilities throughout their career, engaging in melee combat becomes less attractive the higher level you get. Using melee abilites can increase effectiveness during the lower levels (10-16 or even 10-19) to finish a mob, due to the limited ranged abilites we get before level 19.

7.6 Retreating Slash
While the usefulness of this skill is up for debate (it does use up a Stigma slot afterall), it does work with a bow equipped as long as you get in melee range to use it. You don't need a melee weapon equipped to use it.

7.7 Early Levels
Rangers start out as the Scout archetype and do not gain the ability to use a bow before level 10. Up to level 16, or arguably level 19, we don't have a lot of ranged abilites which will negatively impact our kill speed while leveling, so that a lot of Rangers prefer to use a mix of ranged and melee abilities.
Also, Rangers are considered underpowered compared to other DPS classes in the low-levels, but will pick up at around level 25, they are also considered the slowest leveler.

7.8 Cost Factor
While it is true that we do have to pay for arrows and trap materials, the cost factor is not as bad as people make it sound. Arrows are extremely cheap and stack up high enough so they don't impact inventory management.

7.9 WASD vs. Click-to-Move
Wether you use WASD movement or Click-to-Move probably depends on personal preference or your previous MMO history. Although there are arguments going on which one is better, due to the nature of Aion's kiting with its movement modifiers, maintaining a forward movement at all times is actually encouraged as opposed to other popular games where you tend to strafe while kiting. Keep this in mind when choosing a movement style. Personally I think a mix of the two is probably good, but in the end you should use what works best for you.

Killer Guides for Aion Assassin

The first couple of levels were ok, slightly painful but it seems to get longer and longer as you play on. Anyway the same friend that recommended me start leveling the assassin, said grab this guide and have a read it will save you a massive amount of time in leveling and learning to play every aspect of the class.

Now some people say don’t bother playing an assassin, but if you have the skills in this guide you can make it work exceptionally well. The Killer Guides Assassin Guide deals with everything you need to know so you dont end up walking around like a noob with the wrong gear and skills. I found it very useful as not only does it recommend where to go to level but what gear you should be grabbing and where to get it.

They even say you can level your assassin within about 2 weeks, now im no hard core gamer (married with kids) so i don’t have a lot of time to stuff around figuring out all of the intricacies of this complex class, so i found i could just read this guide and it was like having a pro teach me the skills so i could just go out there and play with no stress.

What are the best Assassin Macros? As the assassin is such a keyboard mashingly friendly (or unfriendly) class, macros are definitely your savior here. There is a list of the best macro’s and how to use them effectively in this guide that i found excessively useful.

So anyway as someone with not a massive amount of time to enjoy the assassin class, it was great to be able to read a guide written by someone who actually knows the ins and outs of the class and exactly how to level it, and gear it properly so i could just get straight into the fun that is Aion.

Aion assassin macro

What is your role when solo or in a group? What are your strengths and weaknesses? What are the differences between Asmodian and Elyos Assassins? What are some of the key characteristics and attributes that make your class stand out from all the others? What weapons and armor should you wear? You'll find the answers to these questions and more in the guide.

Combat strategy
The combat strategy for Assassins may sound simple: "Kill fast; don't die," but there's obviously some strategy involved in that. How should you best fight while flying? How do you keep the fight on the ground to maximize your potential? What are some aerial and ground techniques that will help you out in a tough situation? What are the best skill rotations for your level range? Again, this guide contains the answers.

Leveling guide
This class guide actually contains a detailed leveling guide as well. Both Elyos and Asmodians are covered from levels 1-30 (updates to 50 will be made available). The leveling guide isn't as comprehensive as other guides I've reviewed (FTW Guides or KFGuides), but it still gives you a decent overview that is helpful.

Player vs. Player
You know Aion is a PvP game and Assassins are usually the best PvPers, right? This guide covers PvP as an Assassin quite well. You might dish out high damage but you can't take much of it, so what are some of the strategies that will make you successful? What should you do in a 1v1 situation vs. a Gladiator, Templar, Ranger, Cleric, Chanter, Sorcerer, or Spiritmaster? What Stigmas, gear, and enhancements should you focus on? The PvP section of this guide even contains useful tips from other level 50 Asssassins to give you even further insight.

Macros
Macros aren't that important in PvE but they're a Godsend for PvP. You can live without them but your life as an Assassin will be much harder. This guide contains a number of good sample macros every Assassin should become comfortable using.

Aion Clerics Grouping Guide

It is a clerics to guiding for you in aion world . I hope this guide can do you a favor when you are playing games in the aion world. And this guide is especially for the people who have crazy interest in doing their job as a healer in the groups. This is useful and vital for clerics with a basic build. Of course, there is other build later .

This guild covers many kinds of content. It can help you to find answers and suggestionts when you are lose in your game. Maybe you have no ideas abut if cleric is the right class for you. When you choose a cleric ,what to expect? Stave or shield while in a group? There are so many questions like this. So come here ,you will be clear about all these problems .
Is cleric the right class for you?

At the beginning, you should know what are clerics. Clerics are one of the highest survivability classes in the game, in PVP and PVE. Not only can we heal but we can defend ourselves pretty well with our shield and wearing chain. When fighting multiple enemies root is your friend and kiting seems to help out to even let us solo elites.
Now, you are expect to know clerics. When you choose a class at level 10, you must make decision because you cannot change your decision again.. I believe you have your own idea on if the cleric is the right class is suitable four you . Choose or not , it is up to you .

when you chose a cleric what you expect to get ? If you are a cleric, one of the most important responsibilities is grouping up. You are the essence and every member depend on you . How to keep your group alive. Maybe it is easier to make your leveling solo go smoothly than dps classes. Maybe you have special ability to heal yourself and you could continue going depend on your mana pots . However, you will feel sorry when you use up your mana. Now, I think you have ideas about what you expect to get when you are a cleric.

Next question is which one you will choose, stave or shield when you are in your group? Many people like to use a stave to achieve your upgrading. Actually I often prevent from it. Because shield is not taken for block value and its mitigation. That is it. Tomorrow I will give you some new suggestion.

Stigmas is useful sooner or later in your group. The flash of recovery is necessary when you are grouping . Heals a target with 23m of you by 1194. Because it can save the skin of your tanks or others when they get agro. You are warned that you should not depend on it much although it has a thirty seconds cooldown. There will be trouble if you use it in a wrong way. Then I will introduce the blinding light. You can blind your target for 20 target . In other word, the enemy could not be able to beat you much during 20 second. Many people regard blinding light as a PVP skill actually it is not the fact . Players can make advantage of this because it can help migitate damage whenever your tank is fighting with many enemies or when you must offtank one. It can save you some aion kinah . The last point is about the sages wisdom. It decreases the casting time of all your magic by 50% during 10 second This is a real life whenever the tank falls in trouble .

Now we are talking about the question that is how to preserve Mana when you are grouping as a cleric. There are a lot of neat stuff at disposal to preserve Mana. But you should clarify something. Mana treatment and Mana Potions do not stack. Players often try to use Mana treatment as much as they can but when they get hit by a mob and rooting seems impossible a potion comes in handy. There is also Penance that is our magic trick to get so much Mana back but to it will cost our HP. That is reason why the players use it with their hot and when they are having a rest.

Mana increases quickly and the players can easily go with the a little their health being lost. You should protect your Mana for bad things happen suddenly. Maybe if players trust you are a healer they will not mind getting low health. So this allows you to rest more between each heal. If you could heal for 50% of somebody health, please do not use it until they are down to half health.

How to deal with enemy when you are fighting? You will never have to offtank when things are going good, if you have a good tank chances. A good tank marks every mob and what I try to do is to keep focus on the mobs which aren't dps'ed on because most likely those are the ones that would like to put their swords in you. First you have to do as fast as possible is use
Tranquility whenever you see a mob stray away from the tank. You have to be careful with it, because if the tank picks it up again before you have cast your spell you would lower the tanks emnity. Healing range is depend on players style. Clerics do many things relaying on the play style. It is depends on the clerics.

Now we are talking about movement of aion clerics. Maybe you should move a lot then you are alone. Please do not stand when you are in group. You should pay your attention to healthbar of your party. This is good but you should be alert to the whole surroundings. It is necessary and important to consider what will happen next. Also your compass will tell you when pats are coming and what mobs are close, so compass is in your consideration.

And then this is something about healing light. It restores the HP of a target within 23m of you by 93. It is a really the basic heal and has a 2seconds cast. This is important and useful when damage steadily comes in or when your Radiant Cure is on cooldown. Of course, it is useful when you do not have enough time to cast a radiant cure. It is very cheap in mana cost but you do not get much healing out of it. Comparing to other heals, this one gives less heals per second.

Ok! This is all. So much for aion clerics grouping. Now, you must have a lot of knowledge about this. I wish this is useful for you.

Aion Spiritmaster Gathering Trick

Before you start crafting, you need to understand gathering. Gathering is the process of accumulating materials required for crafting. There are tons of gathering nodes sprinkled all over the landscape. Gathering in Aion has a leveling system, which means that you cannot gather some items until you’ve reached the right gathering level.

You can start gathering at level 1, and although it’s time consuming to gather everything you use, it’s best to start doing it from the beginning. There are several important reasons to improve your gathering skills, even though you decide never to take up crafting. One is that you actually earn a small amount of XP from gathering, which may not seem much compared to the amount from grinding or questing, but during your early levels they do help. Another is that at later levels you’ll encounter quests that require you to give an NPC a certain amount of say, fruit. If you don’t have the proper gathering level, you can’t get this fruit. You may be able to buy them at the Trade Broker or a Private Store but don’t always count on this, and may also sell for ridiculous prices. And finally, crafting materials sell well on the Trade Broker, so you can make a profit from selling them. However, some sell better than others, so keep an eye out on which are the money makers and which are the duds.

During the first nine levels you’re supposedly gathering the raw materials, but when you become a Daeva at level 10 you instead are now extracting vitality, which suggests that you’re instead gathering the essence of the material. Regardless, there is no difference as the fruit and ore look exactly the same in your inventory when you gathered them as a mortal and when you gather them as a Daeva. However, as a Daeva you’re also able to gather one important material — aether. Aether is required for most crafting professions and has other uses. The tricky thing with aether gathering is that not only are they available in certain areas (e.g. Altgard Fortress in Asmodae), but Aether is located in the air, usually at high altitudes. Since you only have a short amount of flight time — especially as a newly minted Daeva — it can be particularly challenging and frustrating to gather this much needed product.

Aion Build Assassin

Aion Male Assassin

Assassin, AKA Sin, while despised as a thief, but it is actually a very useful class to have in your team. Your main goals? Simply to stay stealth, ambush and poison anything in your way. Assassins best known for their speed, hiding abilities and their extensive evasion skills. One specific skill is being capable of Engraving Patterns on enemies, which not only damages, but debuff status the enemies.

Fighting as an Assassin

Soloing as an Assassin

When fighting as an Assassin, the key word is "Damage Dealer." Whether you are fighting alone or in a group, Damage Dealer is still your role. During solo combat, you need to hit hard and fast and at the same time keep the enemy stunned. If your rapid combo fails, start retreating.

Assassin in a Group

Group fighting while similar to soloing, the difference is that you got your team mates to back you up. So less running away and less being cautious with your health. Again, your main key word to your fighting strategy is "Damage Dealer." Backing up your group with a good set of combination skills to increase your group's chances of winning.

The assassin's secondary function is to act as a scout and the coward. With its ability to hide and stay stealth, infiltrating enemy territories is not impossible anymore or casually scouting new path ways. Coward is self-explanatory, just run for it when danger creeps up on you.

Assassin Class Features

Aion Assassin has the followin main features:

* Has the ability to hide, and at higher level Assassin has the ability to use advanced hide
* Has the most number of stun skill list in the game.
* Has many different skills to debuff your enemy.
* Can use apply poison.
* Has high evasion, and uses counterattacks.
* Can Ambush, and use high damage backstab skills.
* Can use dual weapons.
* Has Patterning Engraving skills.

ArmorAion Assassin

When it comes to armors, Assassin wears leather, period. You can wear cloth armors but you should never ever wear them because it is useless for an Assassin. Since Assassins are an evasive class, they rely on their evasion, and so leather armors are the only armor that have the most bonus points on evasion. Sometimes an Assassin with high evasion build can become the tank for the group; since their evasion is so high that only a few attacks would actually land on them. However, if there is a tank in the group, let them do their job and you focus on doing damage.

Weapons

The Assassin has the ability to use 3 different types of weapons: Daggers, Swords, and Bows. However it is really more like two different types of weapons, because you're not really going to use a Bow as your primary weapon for PVP or PVE.

For people who have more experience with MMORPGs gameplay, you are probably thinking that "Assassin uses daggers as primary, and swords as maybe an offhand weapon" and that is exactly what I thought when I played Assassin in Aion the first time. In every other MMORPG I have played which has a class like Rogue, Assassin, or Thief, their primary weapons of choice are daggers, and then they might use a sword offhand for damage.

Spiritmaster Skills

The Spiritmaster is an advance Aion class that branches from the Mage basic class. Spiritmasters are the master of pets and slowing spells. They are viewed as damage dealers.

There are two types of skills – active and passive. Active skills refer to ones that you have to actively click to use. Passive skills are ongoing and mainly refer to certain characteristics, such as the ability to wear a certain type of armor or use a specific type of weapon. The passive skills you get upon creation are the ability to wear standard clothing, wear standard cloth armor, and basic spellbook training.

The Level 1 active skills are Flame Bolt, which inflicts magical fire damage on a target. It has a two second induction and a one second cooldown. Restraint is a crowd control (CC) skill, which immobilizes your target for 20 seconds. (Break on damage?) Although it can be casted on the run, it has a one minute cooldown, so learn the best opportunities to use it. Bandage Heal allows you to recover most of your health if you get injured from battle.

You also get the Return skill, which allows you to return to a specific town. The skill has a six second induction and is on a 20 minute cooldown. First you have to bind yourself to an obelisk, found in many towns and outposts. There is a fee charged every time you bind yourself to a new obelisk.

Aion Cleric

The class system works a little differently in Aion than in many other online roleplaying games. A player can choose between four different class archetypes, which are the Mage, the Warrior, the Priest, and the Scout. Each one of these archetypes divides into two subclasses at level 10. The Cleric is a subclass of the Priest archetype (the other choice being The Chanter), so for the first ten levels of the game you'll be playing a Priest and not the Cleric in specific. This archetype will give you an idea of the various skills and abilities that will later be available to the more advanced subclasses, in theory to help you choose which play style you are more interested in. This section will guide you through the first ten levels as the common Priest, to help you reach Ascension faster and become a Cleric quickly.

Elyos Priests will spend these levels in the starting area of Poeta, while Asmodians will be in Ishalgen. Characters will generally be able to purchase books to learn new skills at every new odd level, as well as at Level 10 once they have ascended and chosen a subprofession. In general, the quests in Poeta and Ishalgen mirror each other, being similar in what needs to be done to complete them.

The lore is a little different for each race, and there are some different quests as well. The quests in these areas flow very well, and are generally quite easy to follow. After a couple of quests at each "hub", characters will recieve a quest to head on to another area, and on the way to the next questing spot there are often a couple new quests to complete. If you just collect all the quests at an area that you can and then complete the chains, it's very simple to make it through all the areas quickly without criss-crossing the starting area too much. Poeta and Ishalgen also don't have specifically labeled group quests (although having another character around doesn't hurt) so it is also easy to solo quest through the entire area.

Aion Scout Class Guide

The Scout class in Aion is of the Thief archetype, typically dual-wielding daggers and able to stealth through the shadows and attack their enemies when least expected.

Gear and Stats
The Scout is most effective in leather gear, although she can equip cloth items. While the leather does allow for a more agile and fluid play style, it does little to deflect incoming damage. The goal of the Scout is to appear, do as much damage as possible in a short time, and evade incoming attacks in the process.

The manastones you will want to hang on to include Physical Crit and Attack for maximum damage, while Evasion will help to avoid taking hits. Accuracy can also give you a boost, in that your attacks will hit more often. A mob's untimely resist can spell catastrophe, so doing what you can to make sure your abilities aren't wasted is crucial.

Rotation, Levels 1-4
Upon creation, your Scout will have two abilities at her disposal: Swift Edge, offensive, and Evasion, which is defensive. In later levels, Evasion will act as a trigger for a chain skill counterattack. For now, Open with your Swift Edge attack, and use Evasion as often as the cool down expires.

Surprise Attack, gained at level 3, does considerably more damage when used while behind your target. Make sure to use positioning to your advantage, and open with this attack at your enemies' backs. Follow with Swift Edge and then Evasion.

Rotation, Levels 5-6
Level 5 brings a much needed boost to your Accuracy, the Hide ability, and that chain attack from Evasion mentioned earlier: Counterattack. The best thing about this strike is that it sometimes delivers a stun to your target, giving you the opportunity to jump behind your enemy and apply heavy-hitting Surprise Attack.

Now that more of the mobs you encounter are hostile to you, you can use Hide to navigate to their backs and prepare your attack. The Hide ability also gives you an opportunity to scout new areas before you commit yourself to a battle.

One of the most important skills for your entire career also appears at level 5 - dual-wield! You should never be caught without two melee weapons equipped. As of game version 1.5.9, the consensus is that a main hand dagger and off hand sword will provide the most dps.

Rotation, Levels 7-9
The only new skill at level 7 is Soul Slash, which chains off of your Swift Edge attack. Make sure to activate it every time it procs in order to keep your target's health falling.

Level 9 brings you a much-needed passive boost to your evasion rate, as well as one new offensive ability: Devotion. This skill, when triggered, boosts your physical attack by 40%. It only lasts for 5 seconds, however, so you should take some time trying this out both at the beginning and at the end of the battle to see when it's of most use to you.

Choose Your Path: Assassin or Ranger
Once you have reached level 9 and then completed your quest for Ascension, you will have the choice between two specializations: the Assassin or the Ranger. While the Assassin may put out a bit more damage, the Ranger has abilities to keep himself at a distance from his target. Both classes will require some regular kinah to be spent, on potions, trap ingredients, arrows, and power shards. Both classes are much sought after for groups, and equally capable in PvP. The choice, then, really just comes down to the individual style and preference. Either way, you will find yourself laying waste to your enemies and contributing largely to your group's success.

Lacking the sheer power of the Mage, the defensive attributes of the Warrior, and the healing abilities of the Priest, this class may be one of the most difficult for new players. An effective Scout will need to time attacks and cool downs, making good use of position and the element of surprise. The Scout, and both of her specializations, are arguably the most gear-dependent classes in the game. Stacking the appropriate stats and keeping your weapons up to date are the most important considerations you have. You can supplement your play by taking Handicrafting, Sewing, or Weaponcrafting as professions.

Aion Guides - PvP Sorcerer Guide

Aion Sorcerer Guide

Looking for an Aion sorcerer guide?

How to dominate PvP?

Aion Sorcerer Guide - How To Level Very Fast As A Sorcerer

If you want to level on the fastest way with your sorcerer in Aion then you got to know 5 things.

* Where to go.
* Who to talk to.
* What quests to accept.
* What to kill.
* What items to get.

Also you got to keep in mind the area’s. You got to go to area’s that are very good to level in. To see this you should keep in mind that an area shouldn’t be too big, but not too small either.

Sorcerer's PvP

They possess the most diverse skill line out of all the classes in Aion.

They have many skills that shut down enemies as well as ones that deliver tremendous damage.

However, their HP is very low, and their robes provide little defense, will often get killed by attackers.

Despite this weakness, players have brought out secret abilities hidden within the Sorcerer profession, and those players have become the some of the best at PvP.

They have understood their own skills well, seen what their opponents do when confronted with these skills, and have witnessed their reactions as well. They were gracious enough to put these experiences into this manual.

Most important thing to have is a complete understanding of the skills you currently possess.
Also, in air battles, use Flame Cage I - Skills - Aion often. Stacks quite often if you consider the Major Flight time scroll's duration.
Also, don't forget Summon Cold Air I - Skills - Aion and Grace of Protection, VERY useful.

PS: Cannot find Grace of Prot in AionArmory, (best I got, AionArmory doesn't have and its complicated to translate) skill lvl 28 minimum 352 mana, 10 min recharge, for 5 seconds, you block all melee attacks and your Stun, Knock back, Stumble, Rotation, and Aerial Thrust resistance values increases by 1000.
PvP Sorcerer's keyboard setting

For a class that has very low HP, many times a Sorcerer's PvP will be decided within a very short time.

To recover and counter attack requires fast reaction and decisions! For this you need a good keyboard setting and skill placement.

Best to place skills that can be used while moving in keys Q,E,T,G whereas spells that needs casing time can be put on F1-F10 and the number keys. The DP should be placed at CTRL + 1. Consumables you should use your mouse to activate.

Its very hard to have every skill put into the number keys and F1-F10. Because while you are moving, if you want to use an instant cast skill, you need to use your mouse or put your fingers away from your Movement keys. So its best to put those instant cast into Q E T G Middle Mouse Click CAPSLOCK and Shift+.

Summon Cold Air I - Spell - Aion Q or E, most often used skill! You need to keep moving after you cast this spell. In the abyss, when you meet a pro gosu, you have to run like hell. And when you lose direction because of it, use this spell to find where he is!
Severe Cold I - Spell - Aion Q or E, or very close to it.
Blind Leap I - Spell - Aion Scrollwheel mouse click (middle mouse click)
Winter Binding I - Spell - Aion T or G rather than number keys! Its more comfortable that way.
DP skill: You don't use it often? and you need to be able to use it quick? so CTRL + 1 or 2 would do.
PvP Gear Setting

Tips from Player Mebby, Server Spatalos, Lvl 50, Asmodian

Defensive Gear: To become the top notch 1% player, you must have Abyss gear with HP or Magical Resistance bonus set + Magical Boosting Power bonus set. Using a macro, when you are fighting Glads or Temps you switch to the Magical Boosting set, then when you are done back to the HP set. You should have 8k HP, 1350 Magical Resistance, 1200 Magical Accuracy, 1250 Magical Boosting Power would be good.
Godstones: Out of 1% and 2% damage stones, I think 1% is better.

Defensive Gear: HP, Mboost, Concentration and even 1 more socketable gear (Abyss Gear would be good) Speed 22%+ Boots/ ASPD gloves are needed as well.
Weapons: HP, Mboost, MAcc, and/or ASPD+ books. I trust that everyone knows why Sorcs need ASPD + (It gives casters faster spell motion, meaning lower aftercast delay).
Manastones: Magical Resistance seemed best to me.
To avoid being killed by Assassins, you need to avoid their stunning ability. Magical Resistance is helpful against them. I used buffs to get my hp upto 7k, but after experimenting, Magical Resistance was better against Assassins than HP.
GodStones: I'd like to recommend 1% or 2% damage stones. Blind/silence/paralysis ones are too expensive, and compared to dual wielders you cant wait for the godstone effect to kick in. And with the exception of Paralysis, if you Blind/Silence assassins, they can just run and wait for the effect to expire, and too fast to catch them as well.

PvP Stigma

PS: Its not in the guide, I had to find one on the list of comments because this section was somehow excluded? but the comment comes from one of the commenter's on most of the sections though. Also, couldn't find any list for Asmodian.

The absolutely needed stigmas for Elyos are

* Vaizel's Wisdom I - Skills – Aion
* Curse: Tree I - Skills – Aion
* Boon of Strengthening I - Skills - Aion (Elyos) or
* Boon of Quickness I - Skills - Aion (Asmodian) (I'd go with Jikel's Wisdom myself tho, shorter recharge)

Rest can be any of these, depending on your preference

* Barrier of Severance I - Skills – Aion
* Frost Pillar I - Skills – Aion
* Volcanic Explosion (not in AionArmory, stigma version of Volcanic Eruption I - Skills - Aion, with stronger damage. AionArmory's damage for this skill is misleading, the non-stigma version has at least 3x+ damage, and the stigma has 4x+ damage)

PvP in the Field

Many opinions stated that in ground battles, Assassin's Ambush I - Skills - Aion was the most annoying of them all.
It has come to a point where ground battles = battle against assassins for Sorcerers.

When you fight ground battles, the most fearful class is Assassin. Ambush + Aerial Thrust = wings folded.
Use Robe of Cold I - Skills - Aion when you are up against one. Makes running and fighting easier.
When an assassin uses Ambush on you, just bash on that Dimension Backdoor key!
Well, if it finishes before that, nothing to say? But if the door triggers, he'll have lost target. Use your snare on him. Once this happens, most assassins will use Contract of Evasion or Focused Evasion (both skills evade magical attacks) once that happens, don't panic! Use a cheap DOT skill, + another instant cast if he used contract, then use shutdown condition, followed by Aerial Thrust and most sins are done

Sorcs disable the enemy with conditions, then puts large amount of burst firepower to kill. When flight controls are added to this class, they become something like Gunships.

But to become like a gunship, you must get a few things straight.

First is the flight speed and items that give bonuses to flight time.
Flight speed can be increased by gears that give bonus flight speed and Major Flight Speed Increase scrolls.
If you got these, then you already are a Gunship.

Sorcerer vs Templar

One of the most annoying opponents to deal with, the Templers.

Not only do they have lots of HP, they have a skill that can raise magical resistance way up (Armor of Interception, look in Templar PvP translation) So its not an opponent you can defeat within a short time.

Time your condition skills with the time that their Armor of Interception would end, then plan your strategy from there.

Watch when that Armor of Interception comes down, then run down snare. The thing that makes Templars different than Glads in this aspect is that they have a skill that can release snare other than using a Greater CC Pot. Its Iron Skin and a skill that prevents anti-Flight magic (referring to Shield of Speed, look into Templar PvP thread). Snare, then use a shutdown condition, then deal damage. After this, you have go unload your instant cast skills then use a shutdown condition again, and repeat.

Use Stone Skin's 4 min duration 2 min recharge time carefully, and Grace of Prot well. When the Templar throws a stunning strike, immediately use Greater CC Pot then get some distance while using Flame Cage I - Skills - Aion and Erosion I - Skills - Aion. You stop running when the Templar's Armor of Interception runs out, then snare him with Winter Binding I - Skills - Aion or normal snare. Then turn on Vaizel's Wisdom I - Skills - Aion, and unload Flame of Hell I - Skills - Aion and Volcanic Eruption I - Skills - Aion (note, actual Kor version damage is more than 4 times than this). These do a lot of damage, and if they eat it, it breaks down about half their hp. Then unload your quick and instant cast skills in any order. While they are running, if their Iron Skin has cooled off, turn on your Shock absorption scroll so you don't get Stunning Striked.
For me, once I got 7k hp I could deal with a templar. Before I used to get burned? anyway, using this method I usually win 1 on 1.
Sorcerer vs Gladiator

You get the feeling that they are a little easier than Templers, but you should watch out for their Aerial Thrust! Just keep your distance.

As usual, use shutdown condition, then unload some burst damage onto them.

Tips from Player Mebby, Server Spatalos, Lvl 50, Asmodian

Once the opponent gets out of snare with a Greater CC pot, make him a tree. Then go upto him and hit him with WinterRestraint. Reason being, if you attack him under tree state, the Tree stigma's enemy magical defense buff will kick in, doing less dmg. Once you've hit him with winter restraint, under this state he cant do much other than throw ranged chain. These attacks shoudn't hurt unless your Stone Skin is down.
Use boon + Baizel's Wisdom, Then use Delayed Blast I - Skills - Aion > Lava Tsunami I - Skills - Aion > Flame of Hell I - Skills - Aion > Soul Freeze I - Skills - Aion > Frost I - Skills - Aion > Summon Cold Air I - Skills - Aion. If you even unload your DP skill, it's a damage amount impossible for Gladiators to survive.

Once you've used either Winter Restraint or Restraint and force him to use a CC pot, then restraint him with one of the two that you havent used, turn on Baizel's then unload Flames of Hell and Volcanic Explosion, unless he doesn?t have Armor of Balance. If he doesn't, turn him into a tree then put him to Aerial Thrust, and go from there.
Their Aerial Thrust is instant, so you should kill them from a distance. You can remove their Ankle Snare I - Items - Aion with Blind Leap I - Skills - Aion, but in Aerial Thrust not really. If you've been Ankle snared and cant DDoor, use tree/sleep/Grace of Prot/Barrier of Severance, and go from there.

Sorcerer vs Ranger

Scouts can use Hide, so to Sorcerers they are sworn enemies.

Not only that, Rangers have longer range, so many times rangers gets the first attack opportunity.

To fight rangers who can hide and fire devastating burst damage, using the Chat to your advantage will help a lot.

Using Silence, sleep, and hide ability, Rangers can pour explosive damage onto Sorcerers, leaving them wondering why they died. While you are fighting, if you receive criticals it will leave you speechless. If you don't receive criticals and your invincibility spell(s) (he means Barrier of Severance, Sorcs have 2 invincibility skills tho) are recharged, you can fight them fine.
But top notch 1% Rangers use sleep to prevent the invincibility spell, making it mind-boggling to fight them.
If you saw him first, unload your Frost (Severe Cold if you are Asmo) and other skills of same kind. If he saw you first, don't even look back and press that invincibility spell, or Dimension Door to make him lose target, then deal from there.

Sorcerer vs Assassin

They are called sworn enemies of Sorcerers: Assassins.

Even though Sorcerers skill line lets them defend against them, they are still very dangerous to the low HP class. If you've been hit with Ambush I - Skills - Aion and died in one chain, too bad. But if you see room, you must use Dimension Door, put him on shutdown condition then kill him with strong burst.

Tips from Player Mebby, Server Spatalos, Lvl 50, Asmodian

To Sorcerers they are a scary existence. They can use Throw Dagger I - Skills - Aion followed by one-kill chain. Also, the most of the top notch 1% assassins are now acquiring Paralysis Godstones. To avoid getting caught by this skill, two things you can do are raising Magical Resistance or using HP manastones. Once you've been stunned in air, you must get away quickly using restraints then go from there.
Use Flame Cage DOT's to take down their evasion skills, Once they released their restraint with a Greater CC pot, if you can unload a Soul Freeze onto them, it makes the fight easier. While you are fighting during flight, get away using DOT's and Cold summonings.

Using the Chat If you look in the chat tabs theres a tab named Combat. Take that out to another place in ur UI, go into options, click on Combat ? Third, uncheck everything else, make the font colored Red, then click Change
Flight If you are in flight, they cannot use Ambush.

Sorcerer vs Cleric

Tips from Player Mebby, Server Spatalos, Lvl 50, Asmodian

Just make him a tree. If you are out of range, snare him then make the room. Once they are a tree, you do the combo. The combo that everyone knows that I listed in .vs Gladiator.
Sorcerer vs Chanter

The reason may be that its so easy for Sorcerers to kill Chanters, but there wasn't any good suggestion on how to fight this class. The little amount of suggestion was really generic.

However, to beat them, sorcerers should follow the same tactics to beat Clerics.

Sorcerer vs Sorcerer

Same class. It will depend on whose shutdown conditions succeed.

Knowing your class, it will be much easier to spot weaknesses. First sighted will put shutdown first, and deal damage first!

Tips from Player Mebby, Server Spatalos, Lvl 50, Asmodian

If you are fight the same Sorc class, the side who turns the other into a tree will be advantageous. If you can Freeze then Curse Tree, then owned he will be.
If you've been caught with no Stone Skin available or low hp, restrain him then run. He will eat Greater CC then come after you. Once you've got some def and cooltimes down, fly once he comes close, then DDoor then use Soul Freeze. Or you can just suddenly stop running, use DDoor Freeze then Restraint of winter. Since he used Greater CC on Restraint earlier, he'd be unable to use magic. Then you know what to do.

Sorcerer vs Spiritmaster

Same Mage school, but one of the most annoying opponents.

Especially you must avoid the Flight disabling skill and control disruption skills they possess. Try to hit them unnoticed.

Tips from Player 쏘스, Server Asphel, Lvl 33, 4th Sorcerer character

If you think the opponent is lower lvl, less-experienced, or worse-equipped, then fight.
Freeze (Spiritmaster's first skill to avoid against Sorcs) > Treee > Restraint > Soul Freeze > Burst damage.
If you think it's a fair match or better, don't do it. Very hard to win.

Aion Guides - Ranger Guide

Ranger is the tipical long range class wich you can find in any game, equiping a bow as their main weapon they can be long range death machine. Being an expert with the bow, ranger can easily equipt daggers or swords wich can help them in certain momments of the fight. What i like about rangers is that they can kite easily with their slow-arrows skills. Now maybe you will ask...whats the weak side of the ranger in Aion.

In this Aion Ranger Class Guide, i will explain the importance of the Ranger Class in the Aion Universe. Besides that, in this Aion Ranger Class Guide i will write about the advantages and disadvantages that this class has. Every class is important, but now we are talking about ranger class and that's all it matters.

The advantages of Ranger Class are:

- long range attacks
- powerfull against melee attacks
- resistant character
- low or no use of mp
- planting traps
- useful in any party
- quite nice skills
- fast attack
- gain some extra money because you dont need to buy mp

Disadvantages of Ranger Class:

- spending money on arrows (not that expensive but till you reach top level, some kinah will be gone from your inventory)
- when fighting you have to keep the distance between you and the enemy
- always need arrows
- not so many skills that include character control

The ranger and the assassin too, both make part of the scout class. One big difference between this two classes is the fact that the assassin is stronger in short range attacks, and the ranger is much more powerful in long range attacks.

The ranger class is a complicated and hard to play one, but i think this makes it much more interesting. The ranger is based on long range attacks, because it has equipped a bow . This is a positive thing because the ranger can cause some damage before the opponent/mob reaches him.

In PvE, the ranger can fight in both modes: solo and party. It is much better to play in party mode, but it is ok to fight alone too. It depends on you . If you don't want to share any drops of yours with others, it is better to play solo.
The ranger is not that good at low level, but at high level you can see the difference.
Anyway, planting traps means a lot for a ranger because in this way he can defeat the enemy faster !

A difference between wow ranger and aion ranger is the fact that you can still shot even if the mob is near you. At low level it is beter to play as an assassin but at high level, the ranger will be a real powerfull character. Besides that, the hidding skill of the assassin will be really useful

In PvP, it depends a lot of your playing style. If you don't let your enemy to approach you, your winning chances are increasing a lot, but for example, if an assassin has the chance to get near you, you can get killed really fast.

The perfect profession for ranger class is cooking and also weapon smithing. You can create food for yourself and in this way saving some money, and besides weapon smithing is a really useful profession because of the fact that you can create a much better weapon for your character, that is not available for buying.

The ranger class is quite good, but you have to know how to play.If you have played wow before and had a ranger character in there, you can choose ranger class in aion too. Well, ranger needs to wear leather and they kinda have low hp..wich makes rangers a vulnerable opponent against some other classes wich can counter their debuffs. Overall Ranger can be deadly because their long range skills and their increased evasion can make the difference and when needed thei can equip swords or daggers wich can again make the difference.

Aion Classes:The Mage

Master of the elements, Mages have cast aside any physical strength for a powerful mastery of magic, allowing them to deal out an incredible assortment of powerful attacks. From bolts of lighting to freezing ice, the Mage can summon powerful spells to attack a large number of foes.

Because Mages are vulnerable, it is important for them to avoid any direct combat. Mages should never travel alone through Atreia, but instead should be guarded by a powerful melee companion, such as the Warrior. If the Mage does find themselves at risk of direct combat, they have spells that allow them to bind their enemies to the spot, giving the Mage a perfect window for escape.

Once a Mage hits level 10, they can choose either the Sorcerer or Spiritmaster specializations.

Spiritmaster

Instead of simply summoning the elements, Spiritmasters have learned to control and tame the elements. Spiritmasters have mastered the ability to summon elemental allies who do their bidding, giving them companions that can both attack enemies and defend the Spritmaster from foes.

While a Spiritmaster's initial elemental summons are weak in nature due to the low level of the spells, they will progress to stronger and more powerful summons as the Spiritmaster continues to strengthen their spells. For that reason, it is perhaps most important that Spiritmasters receive constant defense from their allies during their lower levels until their summons become powerful enough to take on the role of bodyguard.

Sorcerer

Whatever the Mage can do, the Sorcerer can do it better. Through lengthy training, the Sorcerer has learned to draw upon some of the most devastating elemental attacks possible. Walls of flame, blizzards of ice, and massive boulders are only but a handful of the powerful spells that the Sorceror has at his or her disposal. With these immense attacks, the Sorcerer can do an incredible amount of damage to a group before they even see the attack coming.

Like the Mage and Spiritmaster, the Sorcerer is not a very physical class. Because spellbooks don't make for good melee weapons, the Mage requires protection from enemies, and will find it difficult to hold his own if directly attacked.

Aion Classes:The Priest

No Legion can be succesful without any support. The Priest is that support; they are the backbone that every Legion needs if they wish to survive a battle. Priests specialize in spells, restoring lost health and giving out important buffs that could make or break the battle for the most battle-focused classes. They're also one of the most targeted classes, as any good fighter knows the best way to break a powerful group is by taking out the Priest that keeps them alive.

Once a priest hits level 10, they can choose to specialize as either a Chanter or a Cleric.

Chanter

While the Chanter is adept at healing, their real focus is battle buffs in the form of mysterious chants. These boosts can do everything from boosting morale to increasing damage given while reducing damage taken. The Chanter is also trained in melee combat, meaning they can hold their own if attacked. Well rounded and balanced, Chanters blend defensive healing spells with offensive buff spells.

Cleric

The Cleric is more or less a superpowered priest, gaining stronger healing spells that can help heal allies from even the most dangerous wounds to even death itself. Equipped with a mace and shield, the Cleric also has a variety of spells that will weaken the enemy opponent, giving the Cleric a welcome advantage should they find themselves face to face with a foe.

Aion Classes:The Scout

The Scout throws aside brute strength for agility, awareness, and speed. Cloaked in light armor, the Scout isn't able to take much of a beating, but the Scout doesn't need to if you play them correctly. A bit more complex than the Warrior class, the Scout uses assassination techniques, bows, swords and daggers to take out a target with ease. If you're looking for a class that is speedy, stealthy, and dangerous, then the Scout is probably for you.

Once a Scout hits level 10, it can either specialize as a Ranger or an Assassin.

Assassin

Assassins are perhaps the weakest of the Scout classes, trading durability for stealth and damage. As a result, the Assassin is deadly with a blade, and can quickly pick away at an enemy army with his or her dagger/sword. While the Assassin is nearly invisible to most classes, getting spot can be a problem, especially when putting a blade to someones back. For that reason, Assassins are also trained to use a bow if necessary, giving them another tool for a quick and silent kill.

Ranger

Rangers are the best of the best when it comes to scouting. Due to their agility and cunning, they find that regular military units simply hold them back and prefer to work alone or with other Scouts. Using their survival abilities, Rangers travel across even the most dangerous of terrain looking for new targets. While the Ranger is capable of using daggers and traps to cripple their foes up close, their greatest strength comes from their expert archery skill. Rangers know that they can't handle engaging a brutish enemy Warrior in close quarters combat, so they prefer to take their target out from a comfortable distance, slipping into the distance before they're even spoted.

Aion Classes:The Warrior

The class of the Warrior is based around strength, force, and the ability to take a beating. Warriors are the frontline troops for any battle; they'll put enough force and power to the task to get it done. In a group, Warriors can take down nearly any target by dealing out incredible amounts of damage while soaking up anything that may come their way. Although the Warrior class is easy to use due to the nature of physical combat, one must put thought into what specialized class they'll pick, as these classes give additional skills and help specialize the Warrior according to the player's playing style.

Once a Warrior hits level 10, they may choose between the Gladiator and Templar specializations.

Gladiator

Gladiators are the masters of melee, as they have been trained and specialized to wield any melee based weapon. Gladiators can easily fill most tank or dps slots when groups form. They are also the king in AOE damage even beating out the Sorcerer. syke

Templar

The Templar is the true tank of the game, moving to the frontline and dishing out attacks while absorbing damage. In addition to a shield that can be used to block and parry attacks, the Templar gains the highest amount of enmity per attack and also gets an AOE pull-in/snare.
